Grief and Changes
As most of our friends, family, and long-time customers know, Rob passed away on 16 October, 2024. As late as I am writing this, I still greive greatly for my creative partner, writer, supporter, friend, and above all, beloved husband. It's been a difficult journey trying to pick up all the pieces and carry on without him, but as he has told me many times, it is what he wanted. So while there are going to be major changes to the business going forward, I'll still be here, reorganizing Megami Studios in whatever form it takes next. However, it is with a heavy heart that I will have to shutter Incstone Design and Mitsukai Sound System, as those were Rob's solo projects under the Megami Studios brand. I am uncertain where Claude and Monet will go from here, but I wish to continue it in some form or another as that was our passion project together.
However, I am happy to report that I won't be going it alone. I have a potential business partner whom I've known for, let's just say a very long time. He shares the passion I have and what Rob had for creative endeavours, and as Megami reorganizes I intend to bring him aboard and expand with the projects he will be bringing to the table.
Megami Studios is far from over, and we are moving into the next chapter. We will always remember Rob with great fondness and love as we continue his work into the future.
Things Are Tough
This was written with the intent to be released last week as an article on Livespace, intended to bolster struggling streamers; it was delayed due to feedback. Now, with the unexpected announcement of LS' closure, this article is being released as is.
Megami Studios: 20 Years
Honestly, this is a moment we never saw coming. Most small creator studios and projects don't last that long.
Nekomatic!
Megami combines two of our talents, Mitsukai Sound Systems and the (pre-debut) Vtuber Katte Mynte for a musical tour de force: "Nekomatic"!
